I love that we're in another world, staying on Aexoth would have been fine with me but exploring a new world is always fun and I loved how they re-organized the castles especially dungeon, call me a sad nerd if you want but I love me some dark elves (and wood elves) I loved that we were back to full sized castles, the skill system I'm ok with it reverting to a more H3 style since they also tightened it up, no more trap skills which just ate up your hero's slots. I'd love to visit a dimension in which H4 had enough time/money to come out as the devs imagined it, it would have been a masterpiece imho. The major fault with 4 imho is that they didn't have enough time/money they game needed more creatures/bigger castles it needed heroes which were unique mechanically and not only in lore, it needed more maps and a map editor better AI prestige classes were a great concept but which needed more substance to them and beyond the base game the add-ons were sadly even more rushed gone were the well written characters and motivations. I understand fans were pissed they destroyed Enroth but Axeoth is a really well written world and the way the new castles set themselves up is very logical and well integrated in the game i.e reading the texts you can see how the elves rebuilt, why the dwarves left why Order is allied with both Life and Death and I love the caravan and hero-less armies plus monsters that move on the map. This is going to be problematic, but I honestly love this game and I'm saddened everyone else seems to hate it, I really love what they did with the skill system and especially the magic skills to be honest I much prefer Life/Death/Order/Chaos/Nature over Earth/Water/Air/Fire and Destruction/Darkness/Light/Conjuration I really love how differently I have to think to utilise each basic hero class. What I don't like is that because there are so many castles/heroes/spells there are a lot which are broken either by being overpowered or too weak and really all of them deserve to shine, also might heroes are a bit underpowered/boring.

I appreciate the large number of castles and how unique they are one from the other, and how unique the heroes are, even if I see a hero and his speciality is the 3rd tier creatures in his town idk it seems to me like he has a reason for being that way. This is subjective but this to me is the the most visually appealing game of the series, it just seems very polished like every single mine or resource has popped out of the illustrations of a fantasy book. Honestly I like all the heroes games I've managed to play:
